1. How to apply for the card?
You can fill payment card application in any Latvijas pasta banka (LPB) Customer Service Centre, bringing along your passport. Account opening and card issuing is free of charge.

2. What is the annual fee for Latvijas pasta banka payment card usage?
In case if your salary or other income’s, on a regular base, are transferred to your LPB account, you can use the card for free.

Standard annual fee for LPB debit card usage:

  • MasterCard Standard - 15LVL
  • MasterCardGold - 50LVL
  • MasterCard Platinum - 150LVL

3.In which currency card can be opened, can there be multiple currencies?
Card is linked to multicurrency account. Currency for the main account must be selected from LVL, EUR or USD. Additionally, you can add another 4 currency’s.

4.Is it possible to draw up additional payment cards?
To all issued LPB payment cards it is possible to draw additional cards. Account holder is responsible for all additional cards and taken obligations.

5. How can I know card account balance?
Card account balance can be found in internet-banking system or in LPB Customer Service Center by giving the voice password, name and account number.

6. What should be done if payment card is lost (stolen)?
In case of a lost (stolen) card, the card must be immediately blocked, by notifying the Bank by telephone 67772999. For identification, you must specify your name, surname, personal code, account or card number and voice password.

After blocking the cards You should submit a written application for card renewal.

7. What should be done if payment card is damaged?
If the payment card is damaged, you need to come to LPB Customer Service Center and apply for card replacement. New payment card will be with new expiration date, a new card number and new PIN code.

8. What should be done if card PIN code is forgotten, lost or stolen?
In case of forgotten, lost or stolen PIN code new payment card should be ordered.

9.Where can I withdraw / deposit cash?
You can withdraw or deposit cash to your account at any LPB Customer Service Center, by bringing with you card and passport or driving license.

Free of charge cash withdrawals can be made in Latvijas Hipotēku banka and Citadele banka's ATM’s or in Norvik banka branch’s twice a month, every next cash withdraw will cost 0.50 LVL.

In any other ATM’s in Latvia and abroad You can withdraw cash with service charges according to the Bank tariffs.

10.Is it possible to shop abroad with this card?
You can pay for goods and services in Latvia and all around the world without any additional fee’s.

11. Is it possible to pay for online purchases?
LPB payment card allows you to make payments online, but for security reasons Customer must fill out an application to activate the card for payment in the Internet. All payments for purchases in the Internet are free of charge.

12. Is it possible to make money transfer from card account, just like from current account?
From the payment card account can be carried out any transfers just like from current account. Using internet banking system “e-pastabanka.lv” transfers are free of charge, but payments to other banks cost only 0.15 LVL.

13. How much is internet banking connection costs?
Connection is free of charge.

14.What credit limit can offer LPB?
Credit limit can be obtained either based on the regular salary income transferred to Latvijas pasta banka account, either under the financial support. LPB considers credit limit individually for each customer.

  • Credit limit up to 100% of salary if your salary is up to 500 LVL net
  • Credit limit up to 200% of salary if your salary is from 500 to 1500 LVL neto
  • Credit limit up to 300% of salary if your salary is above 1500 LVL

Maximum credit limit that can be obtained by providing a term deposit - 90% of the deposit.

15.How do I return used credit amount?
Used credit card amount you can return by:

  • Transfering from another LPB account
  • Making payment in cash in LPB Customer Service Center
  • Transfering from any other bank account.

16.What is the minimum necessary amount to return monthly?
Minimum loan repayment amount is 5% of the consumed amount of the credit limit. It must be returned to the account until the last working day of the next month

17. How long is card valid?
Card is valid 2 years

18. How to close the account and credit card?
By performing Bank obligations and writing a statement about closing the current account with linked payment card and handing it over to Bank.
