Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the
Financing of Terrorism
One of the Bank's priorities is safekeeping and protection of
it's own and it's Customers' business reputation, by eliminating the involvement
of the Bank in money-laundering and terrorism financing.
That is why the
Bank on a regular basis carries out measures to prevent money-laundering and
terrorism financing in order to ensure that Customers' account's operations are
in compliance with Latvian legislation requirements and international standards
in this area. According to the Latvian Anti money-laundering and combating
terrorism financing Law from August 13,2008, regulatory rules of FCMC about
Customer's Enhanced due Diligence from September 2,2008, and also based on Basel
Committee guidances, Wolfsberg principles and FATF recommendations it's
necessary at the account opening:
The Bank is also entitled to ask the customer for additional
information and / or documents related to the account opening and / or further
work . Bank guarantees the confidentiality of information received, as well as
the secrecy of Customers' personal data and information on their accounts,
deposits and transactions within the stipulated regulations of the Republic of
Latvia.
